Just looked for this at a certain site, plugged in the Italian title ( Salvare la faccia ) and lookie what I found...a beautiful Italian tv rip!  I am clearly off my game as this was upped 18 months...

Nice looking copy, I've had the Alpha Blue on dvd-r for a few years. I dig this one too, La Russa is gorgeous...love those pouty lips of hers. The ending of the film is quite haunting.

Is this the renato polselli film?If so it sounds like a must see,im a big fan of his films(especially 'vampire and the ballerina' and 'delirium') but most are so elusive/lost that its frustrating

The US version credits ROssano Brazzi, the Italian goes for Edward Ross ( and I think there was another name on the Italian print ). Turns out the Italian version is way softer than the English one,...

Spanish (VHS) cut of the film is a real mess. And I hate the movie for that. Will give it a chance with English or Italian version.

Turns out the director is Rossano Brazzi, he signed it as Edward Ross.  I am guessing as his  brother produced it, and Rossano wrote it, and it was an Italian-US production, they had to keep Brazzi...
